I was just wondering

the other day in the office, Dr. Fullinwider was telling someone about Google world. You know, that thing where you can see the whole world and zoom in and pretty much see your house? (it shows our neighbor two doors down for my house, geez.) Then he said something like, "yeah, it's pretty scary because you realize that terrorists can be using it too. But the government made them take off pictures of Iraq, or at least details. That way the bad guys can't be looking at it, you know."

I was just wondering, who gets to decide who the bad guys are?

Well, I'd say a fair definition of a bad guy is someone who puts on explosives under his clothing and blows himself up in a crowded place.

Or maybe a cowardly guy who blows up a car-- with a cell phone detonator-- right in the middle of a bunch of soldiers.

Maybe somebody who kidnaps an innocent foreigner --perhaps a journalist-- who is just doing their job, and then beheads them. Oh, and video tapes it.

So... that justifies it?

no, I don't mean that. But aren't we the bad guys to them?

I don't know you and I found this blog while surfing through the "next blog" button.

Personally I believe this entire discussion is pointless because there will be animosity between people for as long as there is sin in the world. So debating "who is the bad guy is" is completely irrelavant because technically we are all bad guys in the same way as everybody else is.

Also, forgive me for saying it but this point of view that you are so enlightened to espouse just seems to be the the most popular anti-conservative perspective of our current times. An arguement that exists soley to inspire controversy, if you will. I of course have no problem with you believing it - it is your First Amendment right. I merely want to point out that beating a dead horse accomplishes nothing.
